9 of 9 people found the following review helpful Great Cassette, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SRAM PG1070 10-Speed Cassette (Sports) The SRAM PG1070 cassette is exactly what I needed to create a climbing machine out of my road bike. Shifts are crisp and quiet and no hassles at all to install. Unlike Shimano, you do not need the first little spacer on the wheel. This Cassette was added to a full Ultegra system utilizing the medium cage derailleur to create a SRAM Apex style congfiguration using Shimano Components 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Very nice cassette, By wpj "wpj" (USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SRAM PG1070 10-Speed Cassette (Sports) I had to choose between this and the Red rear cassette. After doing my research I was still torn. This is a component where there is a real weight differential between the two lines ( Red and Force), and also a severe cost differential. I wound up putting this cassette on my new build and decided if I really wanted to drop some more weight later , I would buy the Red rear cassette and new race wheels. The Red cassette is beautiful, but for bang for your buck, save the extra $150.00 and get this cassette. You won't be sorry. It shifts just as smooth and I've had not one problem from the start with it. Shifts are clean, smooth and quiet. Great cassette. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Excellent Cassette for Weight, Price, & Tooth Options, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SRAM PG1070 10-Speed Cassette (Sports) I use and own the Sram 1070 cassette in 11-28 and 11-32 and both have worked like a charm on Ultegra, 105, Rival, and Force drive trains. I've used the Sram 1050 and 1091R chains with 1070 cassettes and a couple Shimano and KMC chains and everything worked fine from that perspective too.The 1070 cassette (as well as the slightly heavier 1050 cassette) is great because it combines a modest cost with great durability and sprocket-tooth options. Most of the time I ride using a 11-26 or 11-28 cassette, but when heading for a ride with tough hills (e.g., 15%-20% grades in the California mountains and hills), I'll switch to a 11-32 cassette. (My girlfriend, in fact, rides using a 11-32 Sram 1070 almost always and loves the wide gearing it his gives her with a compact 50/34 crankset.) I have several thousand miles on the 1070 cassettes I own and they still look great and shift like new. The semi-sprocket carrier design is also a lot easier to clean than my Sram 1090 cassettes...
