PitchFork Silver Reviews
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Best roof rack tray I've used, By nilloc (Illinois, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: PitchFork (Sports) I worked at bike shops going through college and have seen a lot of roof rack trays. In the past I've used Thule trays because I had Thule bars and the shops I worked at were Thule dealers. I finally got sick of the poor design of the Thule trays I had and bought two of these. They are by far the best roof rack trays I have used. They are very sleek (less noise, better gas mileage), extremely sturdy (no flex along the length of the tray), and made pretty much from all aluminum and stainless steel (unlike Thule's loads of plastic). They hold the bike incredibly tightly and I have no concerns about the bikes even on rough roads or at high speeds. A few notes: -Buy the lock cores. It's worth it for peace of mind. I love how these racks have such a low profile, they look great on my Subaru. The racks work how they're supposed to. One of them was a little fiddly to install - the front bracket needed a little muscle to get the bolt in. Apart from that, no complaints. Would definitely recommend to anyone - a great looking rack at about half the price of Thule and Yakima. No complaints, By Mark Servilla (Cedar Crest, NM United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: PitchFork (Sports) The Rocky Mounts PitchFork was simple to install (less that 20 minutes) and is super stable at highway speeds, even with strong cross-winds. No complaints and much nicer than the OEM version of the same type of bike rack. I purchased two PitchForks with a 4-lock lock pack (also easy to install). |
