| 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Great function, questionable security, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: LiftOp 6 Silver (Sports) I bought this rack without having seen any reiviews, but the price was right, and I really like my Rocky Mounts bike rack, and the company is right here in Colorado so seemed like win, win, win. Well, the functionality is great, and installation wasn't too difficult. Put both pieces on and adjusted in about 20 minutes. Holds 4 snowboards just like advertised and it comes with pedestals to elevate for bulky bindings. I have a rav 4 with factory crossbars and it fits well and looks great. Latch mechanism is nice. One handed operation. Comes with two keys for security. This unit works flawlessly.Now the downside. There are cables about 1/8" diameter that wrap around the crossbar to secure the unit in place. Cannot say I'm impressed. All it would take is 4 snips with wire cutters (not bolt cutters) to take the whole shooting match. Granted the would be thief would have to take both mount units and all snowboards, or skiis, at once, but that would take all of 30... Read more |
